Landtran Acquisition History
Over the years, Landtran Systems has acquired successful and growing companies as a strategy to build our capacity in a specific service or geographical area.
In 1990, Prince George Warehousing (eventually Landtran Systems) purchased Byers Transportation System Ltd. and Monarch Transport from Laidlaw, adding their huge base of operations across British Columbia, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Yukon. In 2006, Landtran Systems sold its shares in Byers to Transforce.
In 2004, Landtran Systems acquired assets and rolling stock of Wray's Trucking Ltd, contributing to the Landtran Group's logistics and management services.
In 2005, Landtran Systems acquired assets and rolling stock of ENS Transport Ltd., adding capacity to Monarch Transport's company fleet.
2005 also saw the purchase of 2-Way Enterprises--an acquisition that diversified Tli Cho Landtran's business in ice road construction, rock quarry operations and marshalling.
In 2006, Landtran Systems acquired assets and rolling stock leases of Horton Distribution Services Inc.
In 2006, Landtran acquired Deck West Transportation, adding significant lumber hauling / transloading operations in British Columbia and Alberta.
In 2007, the Group acquired shares in Valley Roadways, which added to the Group's flat deck (Super B-Trains) heavy haul service in British Columbia.
