Description:

Landtran Logistics Inc. has a Part Time vacancy for a qualified Truck Driver Class 1 Local and Highway Part-Time/ Vacation Relief within our Edmonton, AB operation.

Terms of Employment:

  • Permanent, Part Time, Day time
  • The position may evolve if permanent position becomes available

Salary:
$20.50 Hourly

As soon as possible

Skill Requirements

Education:
Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1)

Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years

Languages:
English

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
Tractor (Freightliner day cab) + 53' Trailer

Documentation Knowledge:

  • Driver logbook
  • Bill of lading
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience:
Cellular phone

Weight Handling:
Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • May require loading and unloading of goods
  • Ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Plan travel schedules and routes
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
  • Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
